Conditions and Effects

Conditions and Effects manipulate world state facts. See World State Facts for an overview of how to setup different types of facts on props and NPCs in Unreal.

In Coppola you can configure conditions and effects on actions and task methods. Conditions gate the selection of actions and/or task methods behind specified world states. Effects update the world state to reflect desired changes based on the execution of that action or task.

Conditions on Task Methods

To set conditions and effects on task methods begin by opening your project in the desktop app and navigating to the Tasks view.

Expand your task to view its methods, then hover over the method name:

Click the three dots and then the settings cog to bring up the setting modal. The modal will pop up on the settings view. Change to the Conditions & effects tab.
